What appears to be aged English oak is actually a "faux bois" paint treatment accented by "trompe l'oiel" wood carving. The floor to ceiling wall unit, a pre-existing condition in the room, was actually constructed of paint-grade pine. Deep, rich solid textural fabrics reinforce the architectural lines of the upholstered furniture, and are the perfect compliment to a vintage Heriz rug and cocktail table covered in seagrass.
